The Nest is a nonprofit store serving the North Side community, located at 425 East Ohio Street in its busiest commercial district. Each day, we provide moms and grandmothers with a welcoming, boutique-style space to shop for nearly-new children’s clothing and furnishings at affordable resale prices.

But beyond retail, The Nest exists with a deeper mission—to bring love and support to marginalized women and children in our community. Founded by Allegheny Center Alliance Church (ACAC) and Women’s Choice Network (WCN), whose nearby clinic serves women facing unexpected pregnancies, The Nest was created with a heart to care for:

  • Single mothers raising young children without a strong support system.
  • Parents in the North Side who struggle to afford quality clothing for their children.
  • WCN clients in need of additional support to care for their families and newborns.
  • Immigrant families who have arrived in our city with little more than the clothes they are wearing. Local children and adults seeking a safe and welcoming space in our community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share the love of Jesus in practical ways with local women and children facing difficult circumstances. For many, their ongoing connections with our Nest staff and volunteers are truly life-changing. Would you partner with us in making an even greater impact on Pittsburgh’s North Side? The Nest Spring Fashion Show and Fundraiser is designed to help us bridge the financial gap between offering affordable clothing and sustaining our mission as a beacon of hope in the community. Your sponsorship will directly support this vital work—helping us serve more families, provide more resources, and transform more lives.
